Kintsugi is an interior project inspired by the Japanese art of repairing broken objects with gold, exploring themes of imperfection, transformation, and harmony between East and West.

For the project, Sofia Zanatta developed a bespoke ceramic element in dialogue with the architectural language of the space. The work contributes to the material narrative of the interior, combining craftsmanship, natural textures, and a sense of imperfection to create a contemporary interpretation of the kintsugi philosophy.

The ceramic element was conceived as part of the broader material composition of the space, where surfaces, colours, textures, and handmade details come together to create a quiet and intimate atmosphere. The collaboration explores ceramics as both a functional and expressive material, connecting traditional craft with a contemporary approach to interior design.
